ABOUT

Farmers shouldn’t be strangers.

We know the names of musicians, athletes and authors. Shouldn’t we know the people who grow our food and flowers?

Farmers are always generous. I’ve never left a farm without an armful of snapdragons, a dozen fresh eggs, or whatever berries are ripest that week.

Yet too often, they remain invisible.

When my oldest son developed food allergies, I needed to know exactly where our food came from, who grew it, how and with what. The farmers around Spokane answered with open gates and honest conversations. They changed how I think about food.

I started showing up with my camera, walking their land and watching their work. That’s how Field Report was born.

We are starting in Spokane and hope to meet many more communities in the days to come.

Come meet the people who feed you. One farm, one story, one issue at a time.

Not as strangers, but as neighbors.
